Why Combine Rather Than Attach Separately
Sending five separate PDFs asks the recipient to work out the order, keeps five files in their downloads folder, and multiplies the chance one gets lost. Attaching them individually also runs into per-message limits faster, since each attachment carries its own transport overhead.

Getting the Order Right
The order is the part people get wrong, and it is rarely their fault. File managers sort alphabetically, so page10.pdf lands before page2.pdf. Phone scans are named by timestamp. Sheet-fed scanners sometimes number backwards when a stack goes in face-up.
